Social Venture Circle (SVC) is a membership network that equips entrepreneurs, impact investors, and capacity-builders with connections, money, and expertise in order to build businesses that drive the NEXT economy: one that is regenerative, equitable and prosperous for all. Join us and hundreds of your peers December 2-4 in Berkeley, CA for SVC’s annual convening of business leaders and impact investors.

For over 30 years, high-impact business leaders, social entrepreneurs, and impact investors have convened at SVC conferences to have authentic conversations with values-aligned peers and get deals done. SVC’s unique conference experience creates an environment where the real challenges, insights, and best practices of leading mission-driven businesses and engaging in impact investing can be discussed and put into action. SVC conferences facilitate peer-to-peer relationship building and create a community where attendees can enhance their leadership, improve their businesses, build their portfolios, and expand their impact.

Note: The conference will begin Wednesday, December 2 and run through Friday, December 4 with the likelihood of additional local activities held Saturday, December 5. We recommend reserving a hotel room for at least three total nights, December 2-4, departing on December 5. If you plan to attend our national pitch event or any morning workshops, we suggest rerving the night of December 1 as well. We will hold a closing circle the morning of December 5 for all of those able to attend.

Sustainability Commitment

Gender Smart Investing Summit 2020

The Gender-Smart Investing Summit is an invite-only forum that brings together 350 thought leaders and game changers from a range of backgrounds to drive collaborative dialogue and leverage our collective capacity to unlock barriers to deploying capital in a gender-smart way.

Some join with a primary focus on gender equality, some focus on the power of women making markets. Some have a primary commitment to issues such as the climate crisis, education, health, or human rights.

All share a common belief that together, we can move more global gender-smart capital, more strategically, and spark real and lasting change.

From December 1 - 4, 2020 at Wokefield Place just outside London, we will convene 350 leaders shaping the significant movement of capital for a fairer world. The rural grounds allow for a productive retreat away from the chaos of England’s capital, providing valuable space and time for action-focused dialogue and careful reflection.

Summit Goals

Our transformative 2018 Global Gender-Smart Investing Summit convened the full spectrum of stakeholders advancing the gender-lens investing movement. The atmosphere was electric: new partnerships were forged, deep commitments were made and the field took a bold leap forward.

Our invite-only 2020 Global Summit builds on this momentum, to the theme of Further, Faster, Smarter. An independent delegate selection committee will curate the gathering of diverse global leaders who share our goal of engaging in outcomes-oriented dialogue, and address the bottlenecks that stand in the way of deploying billions of additional gender-smart dollars.

Innovations in International Philanthropy Symposium

New England International Donors (NEID) and The Philanthropic Initiative’s Center for Global Philanthropy are co-hosting the 2018 Innovations in International Philanthropy Symposium to propel forward the capacity and impact of internationally-oriented philanthropists, including individuals, families, foundations, investors, and corporate funders. The Symposium will provide funders a place to network, learn about relevant trends in international philanthropy, discover opportunities for collaboration, and gain practical, hands-on skills to increase the impact of their international giving.
